A passion for people and the outdoors, and the gift of a pocket instamatic camera led Cincinnati native, Lynne P Nieman, to her vocation as a photographer.

At the age of 15, Lynne received her first 35mm camera and was hooked on photography. She began photographing the natural world...sunsets, trees, flowers, oceans and mountains. But, she was also drawn to creating images of her nieces and nephews as they came along. Lynne loved capturing the special moments that happen with kids - playing, crying, wrestling with each other; as well as the posed portrait. "I took evening courses when I was 15 and 16 because my high school didn't offer photography classes. I learned more about what I could do with a 35mm camera and what I could do in the darkroom. I was so blown away by how I could really create a unique image. Today, I am amazed at what I can create with a digital camera and the 'digital' darkroom. It really allows me to spread my wings, creatively."

Lynne received her Associate Degree of Photographic Technology from the Ohio Institute of Photography & Technology in December 1995. Three months later, she moved to Colorado to pursue a career in commercial, portrait and wedding photography. Lynne now lives in Golden, Colorado just 15 miles west of Denver and in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

"I love being behind the camera", said Lynne. "My eyes and mind become one...analyzing the light, moving the camera to get the proper perspective, capturing the moment. It really is my passion, and it is my hope that the passion I have for photography comes across in the images I create."

Recently, Lynne has begun to photograph weddings and has found she enjoys capturing this special moment in 2 people's lives. To see her recent wedding photography, please go to http://www.lifetimeinfocus.com/events/event.php?session_id=131. Call for more information on these services and pricing.
